The unchecked use of resources is a growing problem; hence, it is important to create new alternate, non-extractive options such as admiring nature and creating conscience awareness on the issues confronting our planet.

Our work area—the Cotopaxi National Park buffer area—holds a great deal of tourism potential; it is also the second more often visited protected area in continental Ecuador, therefore we technically support the development of alternate tourist uses that do not compromise future supplies of resources, in addition to contributing toward the conservation of ecosystems and their biodiversity.
