What do we do?

Fundación Páramo protects over 75,000 hectares of private lands within the buffer zones surrounding several protected areas that fall within the National Protected Areas System (SNAP by its Spanish acronym), generating a conservation corridor between the Cotopaxi National Park, the Antisana Ecological Reserve, the Llanganates National Park and the Pasochoa Protector Forest, joining efforts with the authorities of these respective natural areas.

Our main interest is to defend and preserve biodiversity and ecological wealth comprised in this ecosystem through management and control initiatives that are based on sustainable projects involving the area dwellers.

As part of our achievements, we have been certified by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ecuadorian Eco-tourism Association as a Pilot Project that applies sound environmental practices (May-2003).
