Fundación Páramo, has been working in the area over fourteen years, striving to conserve and protect one of the most isolated areas of the Southern Andes. It has developed a participatory conservation strategy jointly with the actors in the region and a few cooperation organizations such as FONAG, The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and USAID. Thanks to their support and the work of Fundación Páramo technicians and members, several important activities were promoted in order to help support sustainable development within the several river basins.
